Directions to Europe? Google says swim

Getting directions, say from Chicago to London, in Google Maps will yield some funny results. It tells you to swim there. And it would take about 29 days to do it.

Never has their map directions disclaimer been more relevant:

“These directions are for planning purposes only. You may find that construction projects, traffic, or other events may cause road conditions to differ from the map results.”

Yeah, “other events” – like you might drown.
